Dr. Yosef Markosz

Orthodontic Specialist

I was born into a medical family, which allowed me to become familiar with—and ultimately choose—a career in healthcare from a very young age. My father came to Hungary from Ethiopia on a scholarship, while I grew up here. My early experiences and personal encounters led me into the world of orthodontics. I find this branch of medicine incredibly exciting, as it requires complex thinking and meticulous attention. I believe that applying knowledge of biology and physics to create confident smiles is a truly noble goal. I am particularly fascinated by innovative techniques that continue to evolve within orthodontics. In the clinic, I am often occupied with 3D visualizations and digital planning related to treatment preparation. These processes take a significant amount of time before any appliance is placed in a patient’s mouth, but I am convinced that this investment pays off in the long term through predictable, precise treatments. I also explore the possibilities offered by invisible aligners, increasingly using locally designed trays for simpler cases or to finalize more complex treatments. In my free time, I am drawn to the mountains; mountain biking and skiing are my passions. I enjoy cycling in the Balaton Uplands and the Mátra region, and in winter I try to hit the stunning slopes of the Alps. When indoors, I enjoy playing chess with anyone willing, and I am also captivated by many board games. Additionally, I am deeply fascinated by motorsports, space exploration, and astronomy, along with the engineering achievements related to them.
